The 2019 Pinot Gris is unoaked and comes in with five grams of sugar, 7.8 of total acidity and 12.4% alcohol, a bit crisper and fresher than last year's on paper. A sturdy Pinot Gris, it is textured with silk on the somewhat tense finish. This seems quite dry, but not austere. It feels reasonably full on the palate and lingers nicely, pure, sunny and tasty. This isn't a deep wine, but it often seems bigger than it is. It is a lovely offering at a nice price point. Under screw cap, it should hold pretty well, maybe even better than indicated. I doubt this will improve enough to merit an uptick in score, but it certainly has some room to develop if you hold it. 89 Points Wine Advocate
