Hedges Red Mountain Blend Washington Wine 2013 smells of blackberry jam, dried herbs, sweet clove zest, hearty dim cocoa powder and a dash of toasted vanilla bean. In the mouth this wine is full and weathered, marginally sweet and tart with observable tannins that ask for this wine to be combined with a delectable dinner. The flavors are dim berry organic product, toast, clove zest and a trace of vanilla and mocha on the long and waiting completion. The wine was destemmed and somewhat squashed into treated steel fermenters where it was siphoned over twice day by day until wanted tannin extraction was accomplished.
