2006 Bodegas Faustino I Gran Reserva Spain Wine 750ml
- James Suckling
- Wine & Spirits
- Wine Spectator
Smooth, inviting smells of cola, dark foods grown from the ground oak are delicate and demonstrate this is prepared to drink. A stout, sappy sense of taste conveys ready berry and chocolate flavors, while this is meaty on a completion weighed somewhere around berry mash. This is the sort of light and fragrant Rioja that makes me grin. Still young, its 12 years old show in a potent extravagance that underlies the organic product, as though the haziness of Marzullo had started to soak the grave structure of tempranillo, every last bit of it stimulated by a dash of purple Graciano in the blend. It's anything but difficult to envision the sheep hacks coming straight off the flame broil as you taste this wine.
