2017 Santa Carolina Cabernet Sauvignon 750ML
- James Suckling
- Wine Spectator
Profound purple shading; smells of vanilla, mint, dark currant and cherry organic product; dry, full-bodied, even with ready tannins and zesty, cedary, cassis flavors; medium-long completion. With a profound, brilliant violet shading, this Cabernet Sauvignon displays an expressive natural product scented nose of raspberry and sarsaparilla supplemented by dark pepper and cedar notes on the sense of taste, grippy tannins, and a long, charming completion. Pair with venison stew in red wine sauce, burgers with blue cheddar, charcoal flame-broiled hamburger. A tight, engaged red with new plum and chocolate character. Medium body, firm and smooth tannins, and a tasty completion. Drinkable presently, however better in 2022.
