Flavored whiskeys are not for everyone and not every bottle produced is worth noting. This is particularly true for fans of straight whiskey. There are a few exceptions, though, and Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey is one of those shining stars.
This is a honey liqueur that is blended with the famous Tennessee whiskey. It does not have that cloying or artificial flavor found so often in flavored whiskey. Instead, it is a perfect marriage of true honey flavor blended with the one and only Jack Daniel's.

This is a 12 year old single malt produced at the Mortlach distillery in Speyside, unveiled in 2018 as part of a trio (including a 16 Year Old and a 20 Year Old). This particular expression features the subtitle The Wee Witchie, which comes from the name of the tiny still that distils a portion of the whisky. It's drawn from bourbon and sherry casks, and packs a hearty punch of meaty Mortlach-y malt at its core, supported by dried fruit and toffee notes.
First revealed towards the end of 2014, the Founder's Reserve is now available in the UK and will be replacing The Glenlivet 12 year old in many of the mature markets despite initial indications that it would sit beside it, broadening the entry-level options. Named in tribute to distillery founder George Smith, it's packaged in Georgian blue.
Black Label boasts superior depth and complexity, with a smokier, fuller flavour than other deluxe blends. Its distinctive character stems from its use of a remarkably diverse range of 12+ year old malts, drawn from over 700 casks. One whisky in particular, Cardhu, was considered so vital that the Walker family bought the distillery in 1893 so that its characteristic silkiness would lie at the heart of the blend.
Johnnie Walker has the luxury of having exclusive access to Scotland's very best whiskies, ranging from the powerful west coast malts all the way to the more subtle east coast flavors. Black Label draws upon all these aromas to create a unique blend with a smooth, deep and complex character
Each bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Label is two decades in the planning, draws whisky from the finest distilleries across Scotland and is aged in the finest whisky casks. Each whisky is matured in a slightly different way, due to the intricacies of wood, climate and location. The Master Blender's skill is in blending these whiskies together to create a whisky with an extraordinary range of flavor.
A continued focus on quality and style has resulted in Johnnie Walker Black Label earning numerous awards. Today the blend remains as rich and smooth as it was when John Walker's son and grandson were Master Blenders.
Black Label retains the authenticity of its creator and currently outsells every other deluxe blended Scotch whisky around the globe. That it's stood the test of time is a testament to the pioneering spirit and the skills of the House of Walker
The Oban distillery sits in the town of the same name and overlooks the harbour and the sea at Scotland’s western coast. The Oban distillery was founded in 1793 by Hugh and John Stevenson on the site of an old brewery. The distillery dominates the town, despite being rather small and its aesthetics are rather imperial. The pair of stills has a capacity of just 670,000 litres per annum and almost all of this is matured and bottled as single malt Scotch whisky.
Ooh... Oban! A favourite malt of many, and their Distillers Edition bottlings are well loved too. This is a 2004 vintage Oban, which was bottled in 2018 after enjoying a finishing period in casks which had previously held tasty Montilla Fino.

A classic Island dram from the Isle of Skye. Aged for a minimum of 10 years in American oak casks, this welcome member of Diageo's Classic Malts series has been recognised numerous times for its excellence. It was an Editor's Choice at Whisky Magazine, a gold medal winner at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2017 and was awarded 'Best Islands Single Malt' at the 2017 World Whiskies Awards.
18 year old single malt from the Glendullan distillery, presented in a 1 litre bottle and originally released for the Travel Retail market. A favourite of blenders and indie bottlers, it's not often you get to see an official bottling of Glendullan single malt - but it's always a delight when you do!
15 year old single malt from the Glendullan distillery, originally release for the Travel Retail market. This has been bottled under the name of The Singleton of Glendullan, a series of bottlings more commonly seen in America, while those of us in Europe are more accustomed to seeing The Signleton of Dufftown.
Amber color. Aromas of ripe peaches and apricots, tropical tea, cherry granola, grand marnier, and hazelnut with a satiny, vibrant, fruity medium-to-full body and an even, interesting, medium-long soy glazed almonds, zucchini bread, caponata with raisins, bran muffin, and grass and menthol finish. A robust Speyside single malt that will be an excellent standby to keep in-house.
Previously part of their travel retail offering, Oban's Little Bay has graduated to the core range as a 70cl bottling. Master Blenders Dr. Matthew Crow and Dr. Craig Wilson use whisky matured in refill American oak hogsheads, European oak Sherry casks and refill casks with new ends for this expression before allowing the resultant single malt whisky to marry in small oak casks.
The Western Highland representative in Diageo's 'Classic Malt' series, Oban 14yo is a superb, full-blooded fruity malt with a whiff of heather and more than a hint of smoke.
Chivas Regal is a world-famous Scotch blend which was first made in the early 20th century by Chivas Brothers. The company can trace its roots back to 1801, with the opening of a grocers at Number 13 King Street, Aberdeen. Selling luxury food, coffee and spices, it wasn't until half a century later that the company started to make whisky, and then not until post-US Prohibition that Chivas Regal 12 Year Old was first officially released. F. Paul Pacult described Chivas Regal 12 as "the blend for grown-ups", awarding it an impressive 9 out of 10. It's a very apt statement - this is a very refined blended whisky, with herbs, honey and fruit leaping forth on the palate. Regularly lauded by the critics, this is a superb blend in its price category, representing great value for money.
An exciting new age statement expression from Macallan that's matured in a combination of American and European Sherry oak for a minimum of 12 years. Here, the proportion of American oak ex-Sherry casks is higher than in the 12 Year Old Sherry Oak, but no ex-bourbon casks are used as they are in the 12 Year Old Fine Oak release.
Released as part of Macallan’s ever-wonderful Sherry Oak range comes this 12 Year Old. It has spent its entire maturation in sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, and is bottled at 40% ABV after its 12 years of ageing. It’s full of all those hallmark dried fruit and marmalade notes we’ve come to know and love from a sherried Macallan.
